This book is a call for peace and reconciliation. Today, religion is slowly becoming a fault line that divides our society. Religion as fuel for division is a potent one. One that if not brought to a close immediately can prove tragic.
In discussing the issue of using the term ‘Allah’ to refer to God in the Bible, this book focuses on two propositions in solving the problem: what the Quran has to say about it, and a call for Muslims to be more like Prophet Muhammad and Christians to be more Christ-like in their actions.
In the first chapter, the author explains more on the motivations why he decided to write a book on this issue. The second chapter is the crux of the book, where he discusses his view on what the Quran says about relations between Muslims and other faiths and whether it allows the use of the word ‘Allah’.
Chapters Three and Five include an urge for Christians not to forget the legacy of Christ. In the fourth chapter, he invites the Christians and the Muslims to look at what is wanting within their own communities and to find a compromise.
In Chapter Six, he concludes with his suggestions on what we all need to do next. Finally, he includes a chapter on a sample of a Muslim-Christian friendship in Chapter Seven.
